How did you get in to music photography? I studied photography at University in the 90’s and a lot of my friends were in bands, sadly my musical ability stretched to a badly played version of Wonderwall on an acoustic guitar and no one wants to hear that! So I thought I’d stick with what I was good at, taking photos. After University I moved to London and managed to get two weeks work experience at Dazed & Confused magazine working for Rankin. After the two weeks was up I decided to just keep on turning up for work every day and after about three months he offered me a full time assisting job. Although the wage was pretty small the perks of working there were that you actually got to shoot for the magazine, so I built up my portfolio over the years I was there so that when I finally left to go freelance I had a good amount of published work.
