Mid 20th Century Large Ceramic Bowl With Green Bird From Spain

A beautiful Spanish Tin Glazed bowl from mid-20th century. The saturation of the deep blue and green ceramic glaze on a cream background is marvelous, and the dark green bird at center has both power and whimsy. The chippy paint delightfully demonstrates its age, and the decorative trim cascades down the sides so this bowl can be viewed from all directions. This intricately hand-painted bowl would add visual interest placed on a wall shelf, placed in a display on it’s side, or placed at the center of a dining table. This could be a wonderful transitional piece for a living room, dining room, or covered patio.
